NURS 425 Introduction to Nursing Research

Tips for Research and Finding Information

1. Please use Ask Us on library home page, Chat or try a Research Consultation. The library team is here to help you learn about resources and finding quality material.

2. If the library does not own a journal article you need, request it from the library.

Library Homepage >>> CONNECT link >>> Request an article or book.

3. Google Scholar is very helpful for finding articles, but OneSearch and individual databases are also helpful.

Google Scholar links to the library subscriptions.

  • Go to Google Scholar, click on 3 lines (hamburger) top left
  • Click Settings then Library Links
  • Type in AdventHealth University and Save.

4. Citation Managers such as RefWorks, Zotero, and Mendeley can be helpful in organizing research.

The library subscribes to RefWorks and all students have access. Zotero and Mendeley have free versions. You can Google their links.
