How do I cite the Bible in my paper?

References section of a paper -- Religious works are all cited like books see section 10.2 in the APA manual, 7th ed. 

Example: 

King James Bible. (2017). King James Bible Online. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org (original work published 1769).

The Qur'an (M.A.S. Abdel Haleem, Trans.) (2004). Oxford University Press.

In-text citations (see sections 8.28, 9.42, and Chapter 10 References in APA manual, 7th ed.)

Direct quote -- when directly quoting material with canonically numbered sections (religious or classical works), use the name of the book, chapter, verse, line, and/or canto instead of a page number. 

Example:

The person vowed to "set me as a seal upon thine heart" (King James Bible, 1769/2017, Song of Solomon 8:6)

Journal Reference

Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of the article [sentence case]. Name of the Periodical [Title Case], volume(issue), #–# [page

        numbers].

Book Reference

Author, A.A. (Copyright Year). Title of book, (XXth ed.). Publisher. DOI or URL (if applicable).
