What is a Search Alert? How can this help?
Search alerts are used when you want a database to periodically "run" a search you have completed. Having a search "run" daily, weekly, monthly etc. keeps you up-to-date with new material being published related to your search strategy.
Journal Alerts
A Journal Alert offers notification when the latest issue of a journal/publication is available in a journal database. An automatic e-mail notification can be used which can save valuable research time.
The different vendors always create video tutorials that are helpful.
