RoMEO
RoMEO is a searchable database of publisher's policies regarding the self- archiving of journal articles on the web and in Open Access repositories. If you want to put your published scholarship online, you may have to navigate a complicated copyright maze.
If you gave the publisher copyright ownership of your article or an exclusive license, the publisher decides what you are able to do with your article. Some publishers prohibit authors from archiving their own articles on the web or in Open Access repositories. Others allow archiving, but only under certain conditions, while others are quite happy for authors to show their work through an archive.
RoMEO helps you figure out what rights your publisher gives you to archive your scholarship.
